Penney recruits backroom staff for challenge ahead
New Oldham boss Dave Penney has turned to two trusted lieutenants as he bids to guide the Latics to the Championship next season.
The former Darlington boss has recruited Martin Gray as his assistant manager at Boundary Park, while Andy Collett has been appointed full-time goalkeeping coach.
Gray was Penney's right-hand man at the Quakers, with the pair working together to help the side reach the 2007/08 League Two play-offs.
Meanwhile, Collett has also followed from Darlington, replacing Mark Crossley.
The new backroom duo will work with existing coach Lee Duxbury, who remains reserve-team manager.
