Crewe midfielder James Jones has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension at Gresty Road.
The 19-year-old is yet to feature this season because of a dislocated shoulder suffered in pre-season but he broke through last term, making 26 appearances in all competitions as the Alex preserved their Sky Bet League One status.
Jones, who has also won youth honours with Scotland, will now remain with the Railwaymen until 2017, with the option of an year thereafter.
