Sir Patrick Stewart paid a special visit to Huddersfield

It's been a special season for Huddersfield, and might the visit of a famous fan be the X-factor for a promotion push?

Star Trek and X-Men actor Sir Patrick Stewart hosted some of the players at a showing of his new movie Logan on Wednesday.

Stewart is president of the Huddersfield academy and lifelong supporter of the Terriers, who are third in the Sky Bet Championship, six points behind second-placed Brighton but with a game in hand.

Joe Lolley, Jack Payne and Michael Hefele were among the players at the premiere, and they told Sky Sports News HQ what their "special powers" would be if they were in X-Men.

Stewart, meanwhile, said he plans to follow the Terriers' end to the season closely.

"My plan is to see every match until the end of the season, except for one which I can't make," he said. "I am absolutely sure we will be in at least the play-offs."
