Everton, West Ham and Newcastle have expressed an interest in Brentford attacker Jota, according to Sky sources.
The Spaniard will only leave the Bees for a Premier League club and Burnley and Swansea sent scouts to watch him towards the end of last season.
The 25-year-old is about to enter the last year of his contract - a year-long extension the club recently triggered - and he would be available for around £8m.
The Bees are open to negotiating a new contract with Jota, but are yet to hold talks on the subject and are aware he wants to play in the top flight.
And Brentford are equally as prepared to let his contract run down if no Premier League club match his valuation.
Jota joined the Bees from Celta Vigo in 2014 and thrived under former boss Mark Warburton, but became unsettled because of family reasons the following year, and left on an 18-month loan to Eibar.
Brentford recalled him in January because he was not getting many first-team minutes, and he scored 12 goals in 27 appearances, helping the Bees to a mid-table finish during he second half of the campaign.
