Brentford host Tottenham at the Gtech Community Stadium in the first London derby of the new Premier League season, live on Sky Sports.

Brentford will be seeking to build on their first season under Keith Andrews, when they finished ninth in the table and missed out on qualifying for Europe only by goal difference.

Spurs will be seeking a much-improved season in their first full campaign under Roberto De Zerbi, having flirted with relegation last season and only secured their Premier League status on the final day.

In the two fixtures between the two sides last season, Spurs beat Brentford 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before they played out a 0-0 draw at the Gtech.

Brentford vs Spurs odds and score prediction

Sky Sports' Lewis Jones...

Roberto De Zerbi is one of the most exciting yet volatile managers in world football. He makes Spurs a thrilling prospect this season, but Micky van de Ven's absence for the opener creates opportunities for those looking to side with Brentford.

You don't want a brand-new centre-back partnership facing Igor Thiago, Kevin Schade and Dango Ouattara in the first competitive match of the season. Especially when Tottenham are likely to defend with a high line while trying to dominate possession. De Zerbi's possession game should create opportunities for Brentford's transition tactics.

Goals look on the menu so backing the Bees to score over 1.5 goals at evens rates as a tasty angle.

SCORE PREDICTION: 3-2
