Peterborough have turned down three bids for striker Conor Washington from Championship clubs this week, according to chairman Darragh MacAnthony.
Washington, who joined Posh from Newport County just under two years ago, is in demand after scoring 14 goals this season, including 12 in his last 13 appearances.
The Daily Mail reported on Friday that Reading are one of the clubs interested in Washington as they seek a replacement for Nick Blackman, who joined Derby on Thursday, while the same newspaper has previously linked Wolves, Cardiff and Birmingham with the 23-year-old.
MacAnthony has rejected all the offers so far, although he says he will not prevent Washington from moving on if a deal is right for all parties.
He wrote on Twitter on Friday morning: "On Monday Night turned down a multi multi million pound bid for C Washington from a recently relegated Premier league club. Fact.
"On Tuesday afternoon I turned down another multi million pound bid for Conor W from another ex prem club. Fact.
"And Yesterday morning I again turned another bid down for Conor from a large championship club. Fact. 3 bids/3 rejections on terms offered.
"Posh don't stand in players ways moving on to big things ever as long as everybody is happy that are factors in a deal. That is truth.
"I value our young squad, know their talent & they trust that when & if right deal comes along, I'll do right by them & our club. It's our policy."
