Highlights from the Sky Bet League One match between Peterborough United and Wycombe Wanderers.

Marcus Maddison's magical performance led Peterborough to a first home victory of manager Darren Ferguson's third reign as they saw off Wycombe 4-2 to step up their play-off challenge.

Maddison was the creator on both occasions as striker Matt Godden returned to form with an early brace - his first goals of 2019 - to put the hosts on top.

His opener arrived in the seventh minute and was followed by another cool finish three minutes later, but Wycombe were handed a lifeline when Posh defender Ryan Tafazolli headed a Jason McCarthy cross into his own net in the 16th minute.

Maddison restored the two-goal cushion with a glorious 25-yard free-kick just after the half-hour only for the visitors to be gifted another response as Matt Bloomfield pounced after keeper Conor O'Malley fumbled a Nick Freeman cross.

But Posh claimed a high-class clincher in the second period as Maddison rifled in a fine 66th-minute finish after a slick breakaway involving Lee Tomlin and Godden.

Frontman Godden was then denied a hat-trick by a raised flag but Posh had already done enough to condemn Wycombe to a fourth successive defeat.
