Notts County owner Alan Hardy says he will meet two prospective buyers after they made acceptable offers to purchase the club.
Hardy put the world's oldest professional football league club up for sale last month, and said earlier this week that he was close to agreeing a deal.
He has now revealed: "I have now received two formal offers for the purchase of Notts County Football Club which meet my expectations.
"I will now be meeting both parties in the coming days to understand their future vision and plans for the club before inviting one of them to enter into an exclusivity period in order to undertake due diligence and completion of the sale.
"Further updates will follow in due course and in line with standard confidentiality protocol."
He was forced to apologise in January after posting a private picture of himself on Twitter.
Notts County are currently bottom of League Two, and face the prospect of relegation out of the Football League for the first time in their history.
