Sky Bet League Two side Grimsby Town have confirmed the appointment of Marcus Bignot as their new manager.
The former Queens Park Rangers defender has moved to Blundell Park after five years with National League side Solihull Moors.
Grimsby, who had been on the lookout for a new manager after Paul Hurst left to join Shrewsbury Town last month, are eighth in League Two, just one point outside the play-off places.
A statement on the club's website on Monday said: "We are delighted to announce that Marcus Bignot is the club's new first team manager.
"Marcus arrives at the club having spent five years at now National League side Solihull Moors, where he guided the West Midlands side to promotion last season.
"Marcus will take charge of the team immediately and will meet his team for the first time at Cheapside this morning."
Bignot initially joined Solihull Moors as assistant manager before being appointed as manager in 2011. His first game in charge is an EFL Trophy clash with Sheffield United on Wednesday.
