Sky Bet League Two side Grimsby Town have confirmed the appointment of Marcus Bignot as their new manager.

The former Queens Park Rangers defender has moved to Blundell Park after five years with National League side Solihull Moors.

Grimsby, who had been on the lookout for a new manager after Paul Hurst left to join Shrewsbury Town last month, are eighth in League Two, just one point outside the play-off places.
