Scottish Premiership round-up: Aberdeen miss out on top spot

Aberdeen missed the chance to move two points clear of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Partick Thistle at Pittodrie.
Celtic's match at Dundee was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, giving the Dons the chance to take top spot, albeit having played two games more than the reigning champions.
However, Thistle, who were chasing their fifth consecutive top flight victory for the first time since 1972, are now just one point outside of the top six.
Jonny Hayes and Thistle's Kris Doolan saw early chances for their sides saved before Graeme Shinnie hit the bar for the hosts with an effort from outside the box.
The away side finished the game the stronger of the two, with Stuart Bannigan and Mathias Pogba both going close.
Hearts remain third after an enthralling 3-2 win over bottom club Dundee United at Tynecastle.
The away side took the lead just two minutes in through a Billy McKay penalty but Gavin Reilly equalised 15 minutes later.
The hosts moved ahead with two goals in four minutes, first through Prince Buaben and then an Osman Sow penalty after Billy King had been fouled in the box.
There was still plenty of drama to come in an action-packed opening 45 minutes in Edinburgh, however, when Scott Fraser pulled one back for the visitors, who then had Mark Durnan sent off in first-half stoppage time for a professional foul on Reilly.
Motherwell made it three wins in a row after they beat St Johnstone 2-0 at Fir Park in a match which had to pass a late pitch inspection before going ahead.
The home side took the lead after 38 minutes through a Ben Hall header before Stephen Pearson doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time with a shot into the bottom left-hand corner.
Earlier, Inverness blew a two-goal lead before scoring a stoppage-time winner to beat Hamilton 4-3 in a pulsating match at New Douglas Park.
The visitors looked to be cruising to victory after goals from Greg Tansey and Liam Polworth gave Inverness a 2-0 lead with more than an hour gone.
However, Carlton Morris and Ziggy Gordon struck back for Hamilton before Tansey thought he had won it for the Highlanders with two minutes remaining.
There was even more drama to come, however, as Christian Nade equalised in the 90th minute only to see Polworth get his second and seal the win for Inverness in the third minute of time added on.
