The gulf between Celtic and Rangers both on and off the pitch has been underlined by a new report which reveals that Brendan Rodgers' table-toppers receive more than double their counterparts in Govan.
The 2016 Sporting Intelligence Global Sports Salaries Survey reveals Celtic players have an average annual income of £717,860, with the Rangers squad each only taking in basic pay of £316,888.
Celtic are ranked 60th when it comes to comparing football clubs around the globe, with Rangers lagging behind in 102nd place.
The survey, which considers the wages of nearly 10,000 sportsmen around the world, also highlights the disparity between the two Glasgow clubs and the rest of the Scottish Premiership.
Seven Premiership sides occupy the bottom seven places among the 333 teams surveyed across seven sports, with Hamilton Academical's average salary of £42,606 the lowest.
Aberdeen players are said to earn on average £134,670 while Hearts and Dundee players have respective figures of £86,890 and £61,837.
Manchester United spend the most on wages in football according to the survey, with players picking up an average of £5,770,000, but they are only fourth on the worldwide list behind the giants of NBA and baseball - the Cleveland Cavaliers (£6.5m), New York Yankees (£5.8m) and LA Clippers (5.7m).
