Craig Gordon says Celtic win over PSG would eclipse Scotland result against France in 2007

Craig Gordon admits if Celtic were to claim a victory over PSG on Wednesday it would better Scotland's win against France in 2007.

Gordon is returning to the Parc des Princes in the Champions League clash, which was the venue for Scotland's 1-0 win against France in a European Qualifier.

However, with the likes of Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe in PSG's line-up, the Celtic goalkeeper believes a win or draw on Wednesday night would be a bigger achievement than Scotland's victory.

Gordon said: "When you play international football, players come from all different clubs and we don't get enough time to work on things.

"This PSG side is better than that (France) team were so anything at all like that would be a sensational result.

"They've not even been losing goals so its difficult for anyone to come here and think about getting a draw never mind a win."

Scott Brown believes Celtic need to put in the performance of their lives against Paris St-Germain

PSG are top of Group B following four wins from four, while Celtic travel to Paris aiming to stay third in the group in order to book their place in the Europa League, and Gordon was full of praise for Unai Emery's team.

He added: "This is a club who is on top of European football. They have some of the best players in the world who work together every day.

"We'll give ourselves a chance. We want to try and stay in the game, have a good start in the game.

"That's what we'll concentrate on trying to do and if we can do that and frustrate them for a while then we'll give ourselves a possibility later on in the game."
