New Celtic forward Vakoun Issouf Bayo says the club's fans played a huge part in his decision to join the club in the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old Ivory Coast striker signed for the Hoops from Slovakian side Dunajska Streda on a four-year deal earlier this month, and admitted that he is "well known" for celebrating with supporters when he scores.
"The fans played a big role in my decision to move here," Bayo said on Thursday. "In Slovakia, I'm well known for celebrating with the fans when I score. I'm really looking forward to this here and to celebrate with the fans."
Bayo admitted that his compatriot and ex-Hoops player Kolo Toure, who serves as a technical assistant for Celtic as well as being the assistant manager of the Ivory Coast international team, also played a part in his move to Glasgow.
"Of course I spoke to Kolo on the phone," he added. "He told me the club was interested in me and to think about it. That's exactly what I did, and I decided to come over.
"When I first heard of the offer from Celtic, I was surprised and very happy. I told myself it was a really good opportunity and I had to take it.
"I would like to keep scoring goals and win trophies."
Bayo is already has his eyes set on playing European football for Celtic, with their Europa League last-32 clash against Spanish side Valencia coming up in February.
"Playing in the Europa League would be fantastic," he said. "At the moment, I need to work on my fitness as I haven't played in a while.
"It's all about hard work, and then the coach will decide when I'm ready."
