Neil Lennon will be confirmed as Celtic interim manager until the end of the season, Sky sources understand.

The Northern Irishman held talks with the Scottish champions on Tuesday after Brendan Rodgers was granted permission to speak to Leicester City about becoming their new boss.

First team coach John Kennedy will be promoted to assistant manager with Damien Duff moving up from reserve team manager to join Lennon's backroom staff.

Lennon will attend a press conference at Celtic Park on Wednesday morning ahead of the Premiership game against Hearts at Tynecastle later that evening, live on Sky Sports Football.

Former Celtic captain Lennon previously managed the club between 2010 and 2014, winning three Scottish league titles and two Scottish Cups.
