Aberdeen defender Michael Devlin has become the latest player to withdraw from Alex McLeish's Scotland squad, with Celtic's Jack Hendry called in as a replacement.

Devlin's withdrawal is understood to be due to an injury picked up during Scotland training this week.

Hendry will now join up with McLeish's injury-hit squad as they prepare for their crucial Nations League clashes against Albania in Shkoder on Saturday and Israel at Hampden three days later.

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has already been ruled out of Alex McLeish's squad after picking up an injury in their 7-1 win at home to Motherwell on Sunday.

Jack was called up alongside Scott Bain, Scott McTominay and David Bates on Monday after Charlie Mulgrew, Kevin McDonald, Stephen O'Donnell and Craig Gordon had all pulled out of the squad.

Scotland travel to Albania on Saturday before welcoming Israel to Hampden Park on Tuesday, with both matches live on Sky Sports.
