Hearts midfielder Sam Nicholson has travelled to the US on Monday for talks over a move to MLS side Minnesota United, Sky sources understand.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at Tynecastle this summer, and had been linked with a move to Rangers.

Should he move to a club in the United States, Hearts will not receive a compensation fee for a player who came through the club's youth academy.
