Greg Kiltie will miss the rest of the season for Kilmarnock with a hamstring problem.

The 19-year-old midfielder will undergo surgery later this week to rectify the issue that has been troubling him for some time, prompting the club to take decisive action.

Kiltie, made his first appearance since August when he played for an hour against Aberdeen on Saturday before being substituted.

Manager Lee Clark said: "I thought he came through that with flying colours. But he's still feeling the injury.

"Between himself and the medical team they've decided it's not going to be sensible to carry on trying to play.
