Hibernian defender Darnell Johnson has been issued with a notice of complaint by the SFA relating to an incident in their 2-0 defeat at Celtic on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old, making his debut on loan at Hibs from Leicester, put in a heavy challenge on Hoops full-back Emilio Izaguirre, who had to be stretchered off with an ankle injury.
Johnson has been charged with serious foul play and faces a two-match ban, with a hearing set to take place on Tuesday.
No action has been taken against Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic after he caught Hibernian forward Oli Shaw with his arm in an aerial challenge in the same match.
Meanwhile, Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has also been issued with a notice of complaint following an incident in their 4-2 win at Aberdeen on the same night.
