Former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is set to join Marseille, Sky in Italy understands.
The Italian forward, who was poised to join from fellow Ligue 1 club Nice in the summer, will sign a £1.8m deal until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old enjoyed an impressive first two seasons on the French Riviera, scoring 42 goals in 64 appearances for Nice.
Balotelli has struggled for goals in the current campaign, however, with no goals in 10 matches, although he has picked up five bookings.
That does not appear to have put off Marseille, who lie ninth in the French table, one point and one place below Nice.
