Barcelona were left fearing the worst over a horrific-looking ankle injury suffered by Aleix Vidal during their 6-0 win over Alaves.
The right-back was carried off on a stretcher after suffering a suspected broken ankle in a challenge with Theo Hernandez in the closing stages of Saturday's La Liga clash.
Pictures showed his right ankle at an unnatural angle and team-mate Ivan Rakitic, who scored in the win, admitted his fears.
"I hope it's not the worst case scenario, but the truth is that when I saw it I was quite scared," the Croatian was quoted as saying by Sport.
"At first glance, being honest, it looked like a really ugly injury."
Barca boss Luis Enrique added on the club website: "We really regret the injury to Aleix Vidal. We hope it's not too serious."
The Alaves man apologised to Vidal, insisting there was no malice in the tackle.
"I am very sorry, I have gone for the ball. I am very sorry that Aleix has a serious injury," Hernandez told Sport.
Enrique saw his side score their final four goals in the space of nine second-half minutes as Alaves were torn apart.
Suarez, who scored twice to move level on 109 Barcelona goals with his coach, and Lionel Messi were instrumental in punishing Alaves' mistakes.
Enrique was impressed, saying: "In a game like this you need to be in control and we were able to do so.
"We managed to control the game both when we had the ball and when we lost it as we closed them down well.
"Today we played at the level I demand. We created space well and, when they changed formation in the second half, they kept pressing high up the pitch which allowed us to create space.
"The last hour of the match was unnecessary, for both teams."
