European papers react to Barcelona's historic win against Paris Saint-Germain

We take a look at the reaction across Europe to Barcelona's remarkable victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night...

Luis Enrique's side made Champions League history by overcoming a 4-0 first-leg deficit to beat PSG 6-1 at the Nou Camp (6-5 on aggregate).

After Edinson Cavani scored what seemed to be a crucial away goal in the second half, Barca struck three times in the final seven minutes to cap a remarkable comeback.

L'Equipe - "Unthinkable" was their headline and the summary was no less dramatic...

"While qualification seemed assured in the 88th minute, PSG conceded three goals in seven minutes and allowed Barca to make history. The whole Paris project is now threatened by this humiliation."

The paper was scathing in its criticism of PSG players. Seven received 2/10 in their player ratings, including manager Unai Emery. Edinson Cavani and left-back Layvin Kurzawa top scored with 4/10.

France Football - "The incredible shipwreck" was the lead.

And what followed: "Manhandled and 3-0 down at half-time, PSG thought they had done the hard part reducing the score through Cavani. But the Catalans, helped by several questionable decisions, ended up overthrowing the Parisians at the very last second."

Germany

Bild - "It really happened! Barcelona move mountains. Messi and Co succeed in doing what no team has done before in the Champions League."

Der Spiegel - "The best game - Barca's miracle against Paris" was their headline. "What. A. Game! Perhaps the most spectacular comeback in football history."

The publication added: "'Nothing is impossible', 'We will always believe', 'We'll give it our all'. Suddenly these hollow sayings sound like wise prophecies. This time the prophets are called Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi and Luis Enrique."
