Argentine hopes move to Barcelona will be finalised

Argentina starlet Esteban Andrada is hoping that Barcelona come back in for him again after they failed to sign him from Lanus last season. The 20-year-old goalkeeper was on the verge of moving to Camp Nou in the summer only for the two clubs to fail to reach an agreement. Reports now suggest that Adnrada is on the Blaugrana's list of signings for next season and he hopes that they make their interest concrete once more. "I hope that they call me again. At first I could not believe that they were thinking about signing me. Then I felt very happy," he told El Mundo Deportivo. "I have been told that in the media they are saying Barcelona are talking about me again, but I do not now anything. "[My representatives] have not said anything to me about this at all." Barcelona made a move for the goalkeeper, who was called into the Argentina squad in September despite not having played for Lanus' first team yet, but the deal broke down. According to reports Lanus were holding out for €4.5million while the Catalan giants were only willing to pay €2million. "In June I had the chance to speak to a Barca director and my agent was there as well," Andrada continued. "Everything appeared to be okay but there was no agreement. It did not happen because of financial differences between the clubs. It was a let down." Andrada has been hailed as a future star and represented his country at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup Finals earlier this year when Argentina reached the quarter final stage. "I am the third-choice keeper. I have not yet made my first division debut. It would be fantastic to play for Barca but it does not depend on me," he added.
