Barcelona's Neymar not leaving for Manchester United, says agent

Neymar celebrates scoring his second goal

Neymar's agent has dismissed speculation linking the Barcelona star with a move to Manchester United.

It was reported by The Sun that United wanted to make the 23-year-old their marquee signing this summer and had made a "discreet approach" to the La Liga side.

However, Neymar's agent Wagner Ribeiro has brushed aside any suggestion the Brazilian could leave Barcelona.

"There is nothing. He has three years left on his contract," Ribeiro told GloboEsporte

"The British newspapers are very speculative. Barcelona have never thought of selling Neymar and he is very happy there."

Neymar joined Barcelona from Santos in 2013 and has established himself as a key player for the Catalans.

"From now on we will see his evolution and how he responds to the physical demands we put upon him," said Barcelona manager Luis Enrique.

"He is just starting the season and will have to go through a normal recovery process. His evolution will dictate when he will be ready to play. One, two, three weeks. I don't know."
