Real Madrid agree deal for Rodrygo Goes, who will join in July 2019

Real Madrid have signed 17-year-old forward Rodrygo Goes from Brazilian side Santos, although he is not due to join them until July 2019.

Goes made his debut for Santos last November and has scored five goals in nine league appearances for the club in the Brazilian top-flight.

The Transfer Talk panel have the latest on the French forward's situation following claims he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer.

"Real Madrid C. F. and Santos Futebol Clube have agreed that Rodrygo Goes will play his football at Real Madrid when he reaches the legal age requirement," the La Liga side said on their official website.

"Although the player would be able to play for our club as of January 2019, the agreement in place sets out that he will join the squad in July of that year."

Real Madrid will make first contact with Roma over a deal to sign goalkeeper Alisson in the next few hours, according to Sky in Italy.

The transfer fee has not been confirmed but media reports suggest the Champions League winners have paid in the region of £39.5m for Goes.
