Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev has signed for Gary Neville's Valencia on a six-month loan deal.
The 25-year-old has made just one start for the La Liga giants this season and five substitute appearances, only two of which have come in the league.
Neville has been in need of more attacking prowess in his team, having failed to win a La Liga game since he took over on December 2.
All of his four victories have come in the Copa del Rey, and he has drawn five of his nine La Liga games.
Cheryshev has risen through the youth ranks at Real and previously and spent time on loan at Sevilla and Villarreal.
He scored seven goals in 39 appearances for Villarreal last term, and has been vying to be part of Real's first team this term.
But he has been unable to do so over the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.
"It is a big opportunity for me and I hope to be up to the challenge," said the Russia international, who is set to make his Valencia debut against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.
"It is true that the team is going through a difficult time, but with hard work everything is possible. Barcelona are a great opponent, but Valencia also can also do some damage."
