Inter boss could remain in charge of Serie A giants

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has admitted that Leonardo could remain as manager of the club. Leonardo's future has been the subject of speculation, with the Brazilian linked with a move to Paris St Germain to take up a role as sporting director. Several coaches have been mooted as potential replacements for Leonardo, including Genoa's Gian Piero Gasperini. Moratti has confirmed Gasperini is a contender but also stated that Leonardo could stay at the helm. Asked if it would be true to say Inter were closing in on Gasperini, Moratti told the club's official website: "No, you wouldn't be lying, but it's not that we're closing in on him.

Alternatives

"He's being evaluated and he's a very serious person and a great professional. But I haven't decided, no. "There are always alternatives and there's also the fact that Leonardo is still our coach. "I would like to remind people of that. It's not that Leonardo has left or sought to leave. "He's had the freedom to see whether there was a possibility, which is not entirely football-related, because it was something that was no longer his job, but another job. "But in any case he remains our coach and I could recall him whatever happens."
