Inter have confirmed the signing of Radja Nainggolan from Roma.

The Belgian midfielder, who was left out of Roberto Martinez's World Cup squad, was pictured at Humanitas hospital in Milan on Sunday, where he underwent a successful medical.

The midfielder has signed a contract until 2022 and reports suggest that the fee will be around £21m.

"The conditions have been met for a deal for Radja Nainggolan," Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio told the club's website.

"He is a top player."

Nainggolan has been a key part of the Roma side since joining in 2014 from Cagliari and was instrumental in the club's run to the Champions League semi-final last season.

He featured in 42 matches last season across all competitions, scoring six goals and registering six assists as Roma finished the Serie A season in third.

Despite this good form, he was surprisingly left out of the Belgium World Cup squad by Martinez last month.

The decision that was met angrily by Nainggolan, who publicly criticised the national boss before announcing his retirement from international football.
