Udinese have sights on Europe; Reggina routed

Udinese defeated Lazio to continue their Europa League push as Sampdoria destroyed struggling Reggina. In-form Udinese closed to within two points of sixth-placed Roma as they secured a fifth successive victory with a 3-1 success away to Lazio. Tommaso Rochi had fired the home side in front with a long-range effort which flew into the top corner in the 56th minute. But substitute Antonio Floro Flores made an immediate impact as he scored within seconds of being introduced to restore parity on the hour mark. Gaetano D'Agostino made it 2-1 with a free-kick in the 69th minute before Fabio Quagliarella converted from the penalty spot in the closing stages, with Christian Brocchi seeing red soon after. Sampdoria thrashed 10-man Reggina 5-0 to push the struggling visitors closer to relegation from Serie A. Samp took the lead with less than 60 seconds on the clock when Daniele Dessena's right-foot effort from outside the box found the net. Reggina's task was made even tougher by Carlos Valdez's dismissal in the 19th minute with Dessena and Gennaro Delvecchio on target before the break. Guido Marilungo then scored seconds after the restart with Giampaolo Pazzini completing the rout with over half an hour of the match still remaining to ease the pressure on coach Walter Mazzarri.
