PSV Eindhoven maintained their dominance of the Eredivisie with a 5-1 win over NAC Breda on Saturday.

They were helped along the way by two own goals and a penalty and had to wait until the final quarter-hour to assert their dominance, but the result took PSV 10 points clear at the summit.

Marco van Ginkel's spot-kick was the only goal of the first half and Sadiq Umar took centre stage from the hour mark, first diverting Daniel Schwaab's header into his own goal before scoring at the other end five minutes later to cut the deficit.

Van Ginkel set up Luuk de Jong for PSV's third, Karol Mets became the second player to score an own goal and substitute Gaston Pereiro rounded off the scoring two minutes after his introduction.

Third-placed AZ Alkmaar won 3-0 against ADO Den Haag to keep the pressure on Ajax in the race to finish second.

Wout Weghorst opened the scoring after a rapid break by Alireza Jahanbaksh, Oussama Idrissi curled home a well-worked second and Jahanbaksh found space at a corner to make it 3-0 before half-time.

Utrecht remain fifth behind Feyenoord after letting a two-goal lead slip to lose 3-2 to Willem II.

Gyrano Kerk and Sander van de Streek seemingly put Utrecht in control, but Thom Haye and Konstantinos Tsimikas levelled before half-time. Fran Sol grabbed the winner and even Freek Heerkens' dismissal could not swing the momentum back Utrecht's way.

PEC Zwolle moved ahead of Vitesse Arnhem into sixth with a 2-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam thanks to Youness Mokhtar's early goal and Piotr Parzyszek in the second half.

Vitesse were beaten 3-0 by Roda JC, with two goals from Dani Schahin and one from Donis Avdijaj.
