In the SPL Rangers moved nine points clear at the top with a narrow
1-0 win over Hibernian at Ibrox.
Celtic crashed to a 2-0 defeat against Hearts, falling back to third behind Motherwell, who beat Dundee United 3-1. Inverness remained bottom despite beating sixth-placed St Mirren 2-1 at the Caledonian Stadium.
Primera Liga
In La Liga Barcelona did just about enough to pick up their first away win of the season at basement club Sporting Gijon,
Adriano with the only goal to put the Catalan's back top of the pile on goal difference.
Joining them at the summit is surprise package Levante, who beat Real Betis away 1-0 thanks to Juanlu's first-half effort.
Malaga had briefly topped the table on Saturday after beating Getafe 3-2
Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid lurk just a point behind in third, Gonzalo Higuain's hat-trick helping them to a 4-0 win at Espanyol.
Ligue 1
Paris St Germain won the top-of-the-table clash with

Montpellier drew 2-2 away at Bordeaux to move into third.
Joe Cole's Lille ended a run of three straight draws with a 2-0 home victory over Rennes. Struggling Marseille drew 1-1 with Brest to remain well off the pace in 13th.
Serie A
Juventus left it late to
defeat reigning champions AC Milan, Claudio Marchisio's double in the 87th and 90th minutes sending Juve top of the table.
They dislodged Napoli, who had briefly reached the summit with a
3-0 win over Claudio Ranieri's Inter Milan at the San Siro. Antonio Di Natale was on the scoresheet for Udinese as they move up to third with a 2-0 win over Bologna.
Eredivise
AZ Alkmaar took advantage of slip-ups by their near rivals to go four points clear at the top of the table. Rasmus Elm was on target as
AZ won 3-1 away at VVV Venlo while Ajax slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Groningen, Twente could only draw 2-2 at bottom-of-the-table Excelsior and Feyenoord lost 3-0 at home to ADO Den Haag.
PSV were the weekend's other winners, moving up to second thanks to a
2-0 win at NEC Nijmegen.
Bundesliga
Leaders Bayern Munich were left frustrated when they could only
draw 0-0 away to Hoffenheim. They do, however, extend their lead at the top after Werder Bremen and Borussia Monchengladbach lost at Hannover and Freiburg respectively.
Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund hammered Augsburg 4-0 but remain it sixth. Schalke moved up to fourth after a
2-1 win at Hamburg.
Best of the rest
Benfica and Porto remain neck-and-neck in the
Portuguese Liga Sagres, winning 4-1 and 3-0 respectively.
KAA Gent moved above Club Brugge into second place in the
Belgian Jupiler League with a 6-1 win over OH Leuven. Anderlecht beat Genk 1-0 to remain a point clear at the top.
Zenit St Petersburg and CSKA Moscow both drew to remain first and second in the
Russian Premier League. Big spending Anzhi Makhachkala are back in eighth after losing at home 1-0 to Lokomotiv Moscow.
