Scotland full-back Andy Robertson says he hopes Gordon Strachan stays on as manager, regardless of the outcome of their World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Scots take on Slovakia on Thursday and then Slovenia on Sunday, looking for the two wins which would secure a place in the play-offs.
Manager Strachan's contract expires shortly but Liverpool defender Robertson wants him to continue, whether the Scots make it to Russia or not.
Robertson said: "I'd love the gaffer to stay - and I'm sure he will stay because he loves his job.
"I love working under the manager, with the enthusiasm he brings through the week. He can't wait to see us all, because it means he gets back on the training ground as well.
"[Coaches] Mark [McGhee] and Callum [Davidson] are brilliant as well and we're all right behind them. They're right behind us, we're all united, that's what we need. I don't think that's going to change.
"If this campaign finishes as a positive or a negative, we'll be looking forward to the Euro campaign."
Sheffield Wednesday manager Barry Bannan also wants Strachan to stay and thinks the team are progressing well under his leadership.
"I can't speak highly enough of the manager," said Bannan. "I think if you ask anyone in the squad, he's a brilliant coach.
"If you look at it, he's actually improved us. We've been unlucky in games we've lost, like England away where we started off well and had a few chances.
'We've improved as a squad under him, he's been brilliant since I've been here.
"We've got a group that have been coming over for the past two years. That helps because you get a togetherness. It's more like a club than country."
