The action out on the pitch will be taking precedent this weekend, but clubs all over Europe are scrambling behind the scenes to get their last-minute deals done ahead of the transfer window closing in four days' time.

Highly-rated Juventus striker Paolo Dybala is set to commit his future to the Bianconeri by singing a new long-term contract. The 23-year-old Argentine striker, who has scored eight goals and registered three assists this season, is believed to be a target for Real Madrid.

GAZZETTA DELLO SPORT

Juventus haven't given up hope of signing Wolfsburg midfielder Luis Gustavo this month. The Italian champions want to take the Brazilian on loan with an option to buy, but the Bundesliga side have rejected their advances thus far, preferring an outright sale.

Roma are continuing to pursue Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel and gifted young Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie.

The Giallorossi may lose gifted 22-year-old playmaker Leandro Paredes this month, with Leicester City, Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal tracking the Argentine. The Football Whispers Index currently rates Liverpool as the 22-year-old's most likely destination at 3.2 out of five.

Nineteen-year-old midfield sensation Rodrigo Bentancur is keen to join Juventus and could undergo a medical with the club after his participation in the South American Youth Championships. Boca Juniors will not sell the player until the summer, though.

Villarreal striker Alexandre Pato is "one step away" from joining Tianjin Quanjian in the Chinese Super League.

Alvaro Morata is unhappy with his bit-part role at Real Madrid, but the Spaniard will not look to leave the Bernabeu this month. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte would love to take him to Stamford Bridge in the summer and the 24-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal, is open to the move.

Sevilla have agreed a €5m deal with Argentinian side Rosario Central for 23-year-old midfielder Walter Montoya, fending off interest from River Plate and Boca Juniors to secure the player on a four-and-a-half-year contract.

MUNDO DEPORTIVO

Contract negotiations between AC Milan and their teenage superstar goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma have stalled, with the Rossoneri lining up moves for David de Gea, Keylor Navas and Joe Hart should the Italian international leave the San Siro.

Mario Gotze could be benched in consecutive games for the first time since returning to Borussia Dortmund when Thomas Tuchel's men take on Mainz tomorrow.

Teenage Jamaican winger Leon Bailey has completed a medical ahead of his switch from Genk to Bayer Leverkusen. The 19-year-old, who has scored six goals and registered five assists in Belgium this term, was also wanted by Hull City.

Marseille must hurry to complete the signing of Dimitri Payet as the West Ham star is attracting interest from another non-Premier League club who have the advantage of being able to offer him Champions League football.

Middlesbrough have an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of Jese Rodriguez, but the former Real Madrid player prefers as move back to Spain with Las Palmas. Jese is rated as a 1.4 possibility to join Boro on the Football Whispers Index.

Portugal

Southampton and Leganes have made bids for Porto youngster Sergio Oliveira. The Portuguese U21 international has been told the can leave the Estadio do Dragao but has so far rejected all offers.

RECORD

Highly-rated Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins has agreed a new contract with the Portuguese club. The 21-year-old has been scouted by Real Madrid and Manchester United.
