West Ham are considering an approach for Andrea Belotti, plus more from Thursday's European press.

Italy

West Ham have their eye on Torino forward Andrea Belotti, in case Marko Arnautovic departs during the transfer window. The 24-year-old has seven goals and two assists in Serie A this season. (Tuttosport)

PSG are also in negotiations for Napoli midfielder Allan. The Serie A club have set a price of €120m (£105m) for their 28-year-old star, but PSG think they can get a move through for €50-60m (£44-52m), plus bonuses. (Sky Italia)

Juventus defender Mehdi Benatia, who is looking for a move away from the club, is a Fulham transfer target. However, they may not be willing to meet the £8.7m asking price for the 31-year-old. (Sportitalia)

Southampton's Cedric Soares has caught the eye of Inter Milan. The Serie A side had previously been interested in Matteo Darmian, but were put off by Manchester United's demands of a £5.2m loan fee with the same fee at the end of the season to make the signing permanent. (Sky Italia)

Netherlands

Frenkie de Jong held talks with both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain before finally deciding to join Barcelona. The 21-year-old midfielder will cost the Catalan club £65m and will join them in the summer. (NOS)

James Rodriguez's foster father has hinted the Colombian would like a return to Real Madrid, although he is content in Munich for the moment. Tottenham are interested in signing wantaway Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The 23-year-old will be a free agent in the summer and has been a Bayern Munich and Barcelona transfer target, but Mauricio Pochettino will reportedly meet with the Frenchman to try to convince him to join the London club. PSG will meet with Leandro Paredes today in the hope of securing a transfer for the Zenit St Petersburg midfielder. If they do, it could be good for Everton fans, as the Parisian club have also been interested in Idrissa Gueye. (L'Equipe)

RB Leipzig are hoping Liverpool transfer target Timo Werner signs a new contract with an inventive clause. The striker's current deal ends in 2020 but to avoid losing him on the cheap in the summer, they will offer him a new deal which contains a €70m (£61m) release clause which the 'top ten' teams in Europe can activate.
