Students from Kassim Darwish Grammar School for Boys have been invited to attend Jamie Carragher’s Sports Academy in Brunswick.
The centre specialises in sport management, coach education and coaching courses and has delivered sessions for the school for the past two years.
KD Grammar, an independent Islamic day school, teaches students aged between 11 and 16 and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher said it is important for children in the community to have the opportunity to work alongside the academy.
"It’s nice to see local and other community based children come to our Academy and experience some coaching,” Carragher said.
“It’s important that they feel welcome here and go away with a smile on their face after a great experience.

“Having seen the children and speaking to the coaching staff, they all seemed to enjoy the sessions both in and out of school, I see this as a massive success on both parties."
Soccer school director James Olsen added it is important for the academy to spread into “different areas and communities”.
“The school Children have been fantastic during the sessions,” Olsen said.
“The concentration and willingness to learn is evident to see. The relationship we have built with the school in the last year has been fantastic, by inviting them down to our Academy for a fun morning of Football and to meet the Legend himself.”
