Watch Wayne Rooney's special surprise for his fan

Wayne Rooney invited a fan, whose dream of becoming a footballer was ended by a rare bone cancer, to DC United training and had a few surprises for her.

Diweni Jituboh, who is a big fan of Rooney and his former club Manchester United, watched on as her idol and his DC United team-mates prepared for the start of the MLS season.

But, little did she know, England's all-time leading scorer had a few more gifts up his sleeve.

Rooney invited Jituboh to DC's opening game of the new campaign against Atlanta United, last season's MLS Cup winners, live on Sky Sports on Sunday, where she will be carrying out the coin toss ahead of the match.

The surprises did not stop there, though, as Rooney also arranged for Jituboh to fly to England and watch her beloved Manchester United face Watford at Old Trafford on March 30.

Rooney also told Jituboh that she would be able to meet the Manchester United players and staff after the match.
