West Ham have held talks with Sheffield United over a £4m deal for midfielder John Fleck, according to Sky sources.
Fleck was named the Blades' player of the year last season, and has three-and-a-half years remaining on his deal at Bramall Lane.
The 27-year-old has been a regular for Sheffield United this season, and has made 27 appearances for the Championship's third-placed side.
He joined from Coventry in 2016, and has also played for Rangers and Blackpool.
West Ham have had a quiet January transfer window so far, with Samir Nasri their only signing this month.
Marko Arnautovic, who was the subject of a bid from a Chinese club and appeared to be on his way out of the London Stadium, signed a new deal on Saturday.
