Brentford fought back to earn a 1-1 draw at Hull City after Dango Ouattara cancelled out Oli McBurnie's first-half penalty, extending the hosts' winless run in the Premier League to six games.

Hull had looked on course for a valuable victory after taking the lead in the 25th minute. Brentford goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher played a poor pass towards Aaron Hickey, allowing Everton loanee Tim Iroegbunam to win possession before being brought down by the defender. Hickey received a yellow card and McBurnie calmly converted from the spot to score his first Premier League goal of the season.

Sergej Jakirovic's side were the better team for much of the first half, disrupting Brentford's rhythm and limiting their attacking threat. Hull also appealed unsuccessfully for a second penalty when Regan Slater went down under a challenge from Sepp van den Berg. At the other end, Semi Ajayi impressed with his defensive work as Brentford struggled to create clear chances.

Keith Andrews' side improved after the break and found their equaliser in the 63rd minute. Igor Thiago helped keep a ball alive in the box before setting up Ouattara, who finished from close range to bring Brentford level. The visitors grew in confidence after the goal, with substitutes Mikkel Damsgaard and Aaron Anthony helping to inject fresh energy into their attack.

Both sides had opportunities to win it late on. Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis denied a close-range effort from Mohamed-Ali Cho, while substitute Joe Gelhardt was unable to convert a late chance after good work from Cho.

The draw leaves Hull still searching for a first league victory in six games, while Brentford return home with a point after recovering from a disappointing first-half display. Brentford are now sixth in the Premier League with 11 points from eight games, while Hull climb to 10th on 10 points.
