Martin Canning has begun his planning at Hamilton for next season, telling Oumar Diaby, Kemy Agustien and Chris Mandiangu they will not be offered new deals.

Diaby has made six appearances since arriving in February but the other two have been bit-part players this season, making just three appearances between them.

Canning is hopeful of persuading Alex D'Acol, Jesus Garcia Tena, Louis Longridge, Lucas Tagliapietra and Danny Redmond to stay at New Douglas Park and would like to see loan striker Carlton Morris return next season.

Morris, 20, returns to Norwich after Accies' final Premiership game against Partick Thistle on Saturday but Canning hopes it is not the last he will see of him at the club.

Canning said: "Carlton will be going back to Norwich and we will be speaking to them in due course to maybe try to bring him back.

"He has done great for us this season, he has developed from the young kid that came in to leave a young man and has developed on the pitch as well.

"I am pretty sure his first focus will be to go back down and try to make an impact at Norwich and that would be my wishes for him, that is the whole purpose of being here.

"But if that wasn't to be the case, then we would be looking to bring him back up if the opportunity was there."

Canning admits dishing out the bad news to players at the end of the season is not the best part of his remit but he insists it is for the greater good of Hamilton, who he hopes finish the season on a high.

He said: "It is never nice to do but it is part of the job. It is not a personal thing, it is about trying to do the best for the club.

"It is the last game and it would be nice to sign off with a good performance and get the result, so we will focus on trying to win the match.

"The biggest thing was to get through it and keep Hamilton in the league."
