Sky Sports is launching a survey to find out the best player ever to wear the shirt of your favourite club. We are asking fans of each of the 92 English League teams and Scottish Premier League sides to nominate their all-time favourite footballers. Watty Moore is not only Hartlepool's appearance record holder but he is one of their greats. He career span from the 1940s to the 60s and he will be one of those in contention for Pool's greatest ever. The 1950s was one of Hartlepool's most successful periods and the likes of Ray Thompson and Ken Johnson are fondly remembered for their talents. Into the 1960s and promotion came late on - and the stars from that squad, including Brian Dysdale, Ernie Pythian and Cliff Wright are still held in very high regard, but amongst the best? Then came along the likes Billy Ayre, Bob Newton, striking star Keith Houchen and the now Hull City boss Phil Brown. But more recent times have seen some genuine legends turn out at Victoria Park and some big candidates for the best ever. The list is a long one. The Linighan brothers - Andy and David - along with club stalwart Brian Honour were true stars from the early 1980s and they were quickly followed by Rob McKinnon, Keith Nobbs, Paul Dalton and the legendary Pool striker Paul Baker. Again the 1990s provided the club with some great players. Don Hutchison, Joe Allon, John Tinkler, John MacPhail and Paul Olsson all played their part in helping the club to promotion. The likes of Phil Gilchrist, Steve Howard, Nicky Southall and Tommy Miller also starred for the club - but are you one of those who think the Norwegian international Jan Ove Pedersen - who played just 17 league games for the club - is the greatest ever? And then we have the most recent years - who if any should be considered? Micky Barron, Adam Boyd, Michael Nelson, James Brown or perhaps the legendary Richie Humphreys is the very best? Let us know your thoughts? To make your selection please complete the form below and tell us why you are putting your chosen nominee forward. Once we have received all your nominations, we will narrow down the selections for each side to the 10 leading candidates. You can then vote for your personal favourite. After all votes are cast we will reveal the winners ahead of the 2009/10 season and crown Hartlepool's greatest-ever player!
