Striker scored twice in pre-season friendly win over Bristol City

St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas has confirmed he is keen to sign Rowan Vine, but finances will dictate any deal for the striker. Vine is available on a free transfer after leaving Queens Park Rangers and he has been training with Saints in his search for a new club. The 29-year-old boosted his prospects of earning a contract in the SPL by scoring both goals in Saints' 2-1 pre-season friendly win over Bristol City on Saturday. However, due to the current financial uncertainty in Scottish football, Lomas concedes he may be unable to add Vine to his squad. Lomas said: "I'd like to get something sorted out with Rowan but that all depends on money."
