SOL WILL NEVER BE A GUNNER

AHEAD of the North London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal on Sunday, Spurs central defender Sol Campbell has revealed that he could never play for The Gunners.

The 26-year-old is in demand from a myriad of rival Premiership clubs, as well as attracting attention from the continent, but he has stated that he could not betray the White Hart Lane faithful by playing for Arsenal.

"There have been a few players in the past who have played for both Spurs and Arsenal, but it`s not something that happens very often," Campbell revealed in an interview with Sport First.

"The rivalry between the two clubs is legendary and it gets bigger and stronger every season.

"Results in these fixtures can affect some supporters` seasons. I think it would upset all the Spurs fans if I went to Arsenal, not that I am going to."

In a move aimed at quelling all the speculation over his immediate future, Campbell said: "I`ll start thinking about my future at the end of the season. It`s silly to let it affect me now."

Meanwhile, Spurs boss George Graham has made a successful dip into the transfer market by snapping up Swedish youth international Jonathan Partin from Edsbyns, a move revealed in February by Optasoccer.com.
