LEEDS VIDUKA DEAL SEALED - CLAIMS

IT has been claimed that Leeds United have sealed the deal to take Mark Viduka from Celtic to Elland Road and that they will announce his signing at a press conference next week.

The player's agent Bernie Mandic has confirmed that the deal has been completed, despite Whites chairman Peter Ridsdale and Viduka himself being away on holiday.

A fee of around £7 million was agreed between Celtic and Leeds last week and the 24-year-old is now believed to have agreed terms with the Yorkshire side, who are strengthening in preparation for a Champions League campaign.

The player has just to undergo a medical at Elland Road when he flies in with Mandic next week before signing a contract believed to be either four or five years in length.

Leeds have been looking for a big frontman to partner Michael Bridges and Harry Kewell since Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink left at the start of last season, and seem to have got their man in the shape of the powerful Australian.
