Emerson's Juve exit strategy

Emerson will leave Juventus for another European giant, if the club are relegated.

Defensive midfielder Emerson will leave Juventus for another European giant, if the club are relegated.

The Brazilian, 30, won Serie A with The Old Lady and still has a couple of years left on his deal at the Stadio Delle Alpi.

But Juventus are at the centre of the Italian Football Federation's investigation into referee-fixing and Milan, Internazionale and Real Madrid have been keeping a close eye on the player's situation.

Emerson has also made it clear he would not play in Serie B, should the club be found guilty and demoted.

"Offers for Emerson from Inter and Real? Let's say a few big European sides are looking at him," his agent Gilmar Veloz told Corriere dello Sport.

"But I won't say the names because that wouldn't be right. Anyway at the moment it is not that important because he has another two years on his contract with Juve.

"He's with his national team and he's preparing for their World Cup adventure.

"After July 9 we will see what will happen. But before that there is the World Cup.

"I need to talk to him and until then I won't discuss the situation anymore."

World Cup holders Brazil kick-off the tournament against Croatia on June 13, before taking on Australia and Japan in Group F.
