A blistering first-half performance from Chelsea Ladies saw them beat Bristol Academy 4-0 in the FA Women's Super League 1.

The Blues continued their 100 per cent start to the season having led 3-0 at half-time after goals from Ji So-Yun, Drew Spence, and Gemma Davison.

And Spence added her second in the 90th minute to complete the rout.

Chelsea made their breakthrough in the 21st minute when Bristol failed to clear Eniola Aluko’s cross from the right and So-Yun fired home from 12 yards.

Their second came nine minutes later when Spence headed in via a post after Ana Borges’ cross.

Just after the half-hour, Davison used her strength and pace to burst through and fire past Mary Earps from 16 yards.

Bristol improved after the break but the visitors added a fourth when Grace McCatty failed to clear her lines and Spence drilled in a low shot from the edge of the area.

Elsewhere, Chioma Ubogagu rescued a point for Arsenal with a goal on her debut in a 1-1 draw with Notts County.

Former Gunners player Ellen White had put hosts County ahead in the first half with her maiden goal for the club only to miss a penalty soon after.

And American Ubogagu scored with five minutes left to salvage a draw with a fierce 20-yard half-volley.

In WSL 2, Emma Follis struck twice as Reading beat bottom-club Watford 3-0.

There was also a goal from Fran Kirby, who celebrated her England call up by taking her tally for the campaign to 10 goals in three games.
