Soccer Saturday pundit Matt Le Tissier has predicted how the top of the table will look come the end of the season, tipping Manchester United to finish outside the top six.

With 10 games gone, the Southampton legend is sticking by his pre-season prediction for Manchester City to secure the title.

He is expecting a wide-open race with Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal in the mix - but he doesn't see their neighbours United being involved.

Jose Mourinho's men are eighth following Saturday's 0-0 draw with Burnley, eight points behind the leaders with just one win in seven games.

Here's how Le Tissier expects the top seven to look come the end of the season...

He told Sky Sports: "When you think about the money Manchester United have spent it's just not good enough from Jose Mourinho.

"They're eight points off the top already and you're now looking at what they're going to spend again in January, so there's still a lot of progress to be made.

"I thought City might have run away with it after the first few games but 10 games in and one point separating the top four tells me we're in for an exciting one.

"Liverpool and Chelsea's lack of European football gives them a real edge, especially with Arsenal and Tottenham in the Champions League. When it's so tight in there you look at small differences and I think that could be it.

"So far, Southampton have exceeded my expectations because I thought the Europa League would have had a bigger effect, but our worst period was before the European campaign started."
