Four non-league sides went unbeaten against Football League opposition on a day for underdogs in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Salford earned a replay after holding League One side Shrewsbury to a 1-1 draw at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Adam Rooney headed Salford level two minutes after Ollie Norburn had given Shrewsbury a first-half lead.

Guiseley produced one of the biggest shocks in the first round of the FA Cup by beating Sky Bet League Two side Cambridge 4-3 at Nethermoor.

The Lions, 14th in National League North after relegation last season, raced into a 4-0 lead before being given an almighty scare.

Will Hatfield's stunning 30-yard half-volley gave Guiseley a 25th-minute lead and a spectacular mis-hit cross from Cliff Moyo made it 2-0 at half-time.

Two more goals early in the second period from Kaine Felix and Kingsley James seemingly put the West Yorkshire side out of sight, but Jabo Ibehre's goal sparked Cambridge's fightback with 25 minutes left.

Guiseley's National League North rivals Chorley were denied an upset of their own, but held on for a replay after having a man sent off in their 2-2 draw against Doncaster.

Josh O'Keefe headed Chorley into a second-minute lead, but Herbie Kane followed up a rebound to level soon after.

Both sides hit the woodwork before Courtney Meppen-Walter fired the home side into a half-time lead.

Chorley defender Matty Challoner was sent off with 29 minutes left for his reckless tackle on Kane, who curled home a superb late equaliser.

Barnet are also in the hat for the second-round draw after holding 10-man Bristol Rovers 1-1 at The Hive.

Rovers found themselves a man light as soon as the seventh minute when midfielder Stuart Sinclair was shown a straight red card for his two-footed challenge on Wesley Fonguck.

The Bees made their numerical advantage tell as Craig Robson headed them in front in the first half, but Chris Lines equalised with a second-half penalty after Callum Reynolds' foul on Tom Nichols.

They took the lead within 60 seconds of kick-off and were 2-0 up 13 minutes in when Lynden Gooch added another. Vale pulled a goal back through Tom Pope before half-time but could not force a replay.

National League side Solihull Moors reached the second round for the second time in their history with a 2-0 win at Hitchin Town, the lowest ranked side left in the competition.

Adi Yussuf broke the deadlock with a second-half penalty after Noah Chesmain's foul on Jamey Osborne before Danny Wright's game-clinching second 11 minutes from time.

Alfreton's cup run was halted by Fleetwood, who cruised to a 4-1 away win.

Paddy Madden volleyed Fleetwood into an early lead and converted a second-half penalty after Ash Hunter's fine solo effort midway through the first period. Jordon Sinnott's free-kick, dropped by Fleetwood goalkeeper Alex Cairns, reduced the deficit, but Gerard Garner headed a late fourth for Joey Barton's side.

Luke Summerfield and Stuart Beavon secured Wrexham a 2-0 win at sixth-tier side Weston-Super-Mare and Toby Stevenson's second-half equaliser spared Charlton's blushes in a 1-1 draw at Mansfield, who had led at the break through CJ Hamilton.
