Gary Holt appointed Livingston manager after Kenny Miller's departure

Livingston have appointed Gary Holt as their new manager on a one-year rolling contract following the departure of Kenny Miller.
The Scottish Premiership side parted company with player-manager Miller on Monday - having only hired the former Rangers striker seven weeks ago.
Miller had replaced David Hopkin at the end of June but has left amicably after a disagreement over his dual role.
Livingston wanted the 38-year-old to become a full-time manager but Miller did not want to call time on his playing career.
Holt - a Scotland international in his playing days - managed Falkirk for the 2013-14 season and guided them to the Championship play-offs but then departed for a coaching post at Norwich, before leaving Carrow Road in 2016.
When asked why he chose the Livingston job, Holt said: "I think if you're looking from the outside in, everything that Livingston have achieved in the last couple of seasons.
"Back-to-back promotions, the off-field stuff everything that has geared them up to reach the pinnacle of Scottish football, the age of the squad, the hunger of them, the desire when you look at them to play in games.
"Sitting talking to them, meeting the staff, it just felt as though I had been here a while and it was just natural. I'm delighted to get the chance and hopefully we'll work well together and grow as a team."
Holt was one of four candidates who Sky sources understand interviewed for the Livingston job earlier this summer.
He will now take charge of his first game as Livingston manager on Saturday away at St Mirren.
