McLean and Lee both agree four-year contracts

Aaron McLean and Charlie Lee have both signed new four-year contracts at Peterborough United. Striker McLean has now pledged his future to Posh after asking to be taken off the transfer list earlier this month. Peterborough had rejected an offer from Wolves for McLean, who is happy to commit his future to the League One club. "I am confident we can be successful and I can't wait for the season to start," McLean told the club's official website. "This club is ambitious and that is the reason I have signed the new deal. Everyone is hungry for success and I want to be a part of that as do all the players."

Going places

McLean's team-mate Lee has also put pen-to-paper on the four-year deal he had agreed in principle at the end of last season. Lee said: "It was talked about at the end of last season and Barry Fry mentioned it at the awards do. "Obviously I have been away for the summer, but when I returned we had a chat about it and I am delighted to sign for another four years. It gives me more security because I only had two years left. "I want to be part of what this club is trying to achieve. This club is going places and no player wants to leave."
