Same again for Rovers, striker dilemma for Bluebirds

Doncaster have no new injury worries, while Cardiff boss Dave Jones is facing a striker dilemma. Doncaster will be looking to bounce back from their Carling Cup defeat to Notts County in midweek and return to the form they showed in beating Derby last Saturday. Sean O'Driscoll made five changes for the clash with County and should revert back to his strongest possible starting XI for the visit of the Bluebirds. Striker Darren Byfield has stepped up his rehabilitation after overcoming a hernia problem but is not expected to be involved this week, while Jason Price (foot) is set to return to training next week. Young striker Lewis Guy will be vying to add to his opening-day winner at Pride Park, with Paul Heffernan also battling to start. Defender Sean McDaid (dislocated knee) remains on the sidelines.

Loovens doubt

Jones must decide who to play up front after Jay Bothroyd and Paul Parry both impressed in Cardiff's Carling Cup game against Bournemouth. Ross McCormack and Steve Thompson led the line in the opening-day victory over Southampton - the latter scoring in a dramatic 2-1 win. Gavin Rae and Kevin McNaughton should both be fit after suffering knocks but Glenn Loovens' participation is in doubt after Celtic agreed a fee to sign the defender. Otherwise, Jones is expected to make few changes with defenders Darren Purse and Miguel Comminges battling for places on the bench and Tony Capaldi (knee) still out.
