Ten-man Yeovil put four past Pools

Gavin Williams scored a superb goal but was then sent off on his second Yeovil debut as Town coasted to a 4-0 home victory over Hartlepool. The Glovers took a 20th-minute lead through Gavin Tomlin's penalty before Williams added a stunning second on 34 minutes with a curling free-kick that went in off the post. Sam Collins' own goal five minutes after the re-start put the result beyond doubt but Williams then saw red before Dean Bowditch added a fourth for Yeovil late on. The hosts went in front when Peter Hartley was harshly adjudged to have handled in the box, handing Tomlin the opportunity to convert from the spot. Williams doubled the lead in style and the on-loan Bristol City midfielder also had a hand in Yeovil's third as his lob bounced off the bar before Collins inadvertently turned the ball into his own net. Williams was then dismissed on 64 minutes for a foul on Andy Monkhouse, but Bowditch extended the Glovers' lead with 19 minutes remaining.
